Where to see art in Prague, and where to buy it

Prague has major museums and dozens of small galleries that sell original work, often a few streets from the shops selling printed copies. This guide is about finding the originals.

By district

Four neighbourhoods, nineteen galleries

Most of Prague's commercial galleries are in four districts, which differ a good deal: busy tourist lanes in the Old Town, residential streets twenty minutes out in Žižkov.

The Vltava, its bridges and the rooftops of Prague

The originals are usually a few streets from the shops selling copies.
